We offer a large variety of outdoor family activities, including hike, cultural walks and boat trips.
For those who want to reach for the sky there is the possibility to climb exciting summits.
Join both the locals and summer guests, and discover the nature that surrounds us!

July 28th – July 29th: Course in acrobatics for children (age 8 to 13 years)
July 29th – July 30th: Stay the night in a tent on a summer farm, activities for children, hikes
August 5th and August 7th: Photography course (photography contest until August 10 th)
August 5th – August 7th: Small Boat Meet at the Ørsta Small Boat Marina
July30th – August 5th: “Straight from the mountain” – we meet at Hotell Ivar Aasen from 6pm


Day by day:

Friday July 29th:
- The acrobat Eskil Rønningsbakken will perform extreme outdoor acrobatics
- Visit a summer farm in the Austefjord-area, activities for children
- Inauguration ceremony from ca 11:30 in Vikegata, centre of Ørsta by Ann-Marit Sæbønes
- Bicycle prologue through Vikegata, bike race for children and Ørsta National Bike Race 2009
- Day’s trip by bus and boat, and a hike from Leira to Bjørke

Saturday July 30th:
- Inauguration ceremony in Vikegata, Ørsta from ca 11 am with summer concert and bike race for children.
- Nature and culture at Nordre Vartdal: hikes, fishing contest, guided tour of village and church, entertainment, art exhibition and more 

Sunday July 31st:
- Visit the old ship’s agent and shop-museumat Vartdal
- Fjord trip with MS Hindholmen from Vartdal to Store-Standal
- Visit the animals at the Erdalen farm i Barstadvik

Mondag August 1st:
- Summit Kolåstind
- Afternoon hike to Årskogstøylen/Høgereset
- Fishing in the Ørsta-river, age under 16

Tuesday August 2nd:
- Summit Bladet in Molladalen valley (includes rock-climbing)
- The great transition trip by bus, boat and a hike from Finnes to Rognestøylen
- Bike trip around the Dalsfjord

Wednesday August 3rd:
- Summit Liadalsnipa
- Visit Austefjord Museum and the Årsetøya island
- Afternoon hike from Ørsta

Thursday August 4th:
- Summit Slogen
- The grand round trip hiking from Austefjorden toFinnes
- Cultural walk at Kvitneset and visit to the artic museum at Brandal

Friday August 5th:
- Cultural walk at Aasen by Hjørungavåg
- Guided fjord cruise on the Hjørundfjord and visit to medieval farm at Bjørke
 -Guided fjord cruise on the Hjørundfjord and hike from Leira to Bjørke
- Easy hike to Stokkesætra, suitable for the whole family

Saturday August 6th:
- Free breakfast in Vikegata, Ørsta
- The mountain race Saudehorn straight up, small boat meet and form & craft market in Ørsta
- Egg-painting for children at Holstad

Sunday August 7th:
- Hike to Vasstøylen and Kvamsedalen
- Ørsta National bike race 2011
- “Pilegrimage” from Southern Bjørkedal toHarpefossen – historical walk

Please note that many of our activities require hiking shoes and appropriate clothing for various weather conditions.
